•    Attendance Officer- (Truancy Officer) Based at MBAS and available to assist families where attendance is a problem.
•    Counselling Services- Available through GP’s or Whitianga Community Resource Centre - 866 4476
•    Dental Therapist- Phone 866 4004 – From 2011 the Dental Caravan will park at Whenuakite School and all screening and dental work will be done on the school site. Dental therapists are employed by Health Waikato and they deal directly with parents.
•    Health Checks- Hearing and Vision testing is done annually for 5 year olds and in Year 7 for colour blindness in boys. Other hearing and vision testing is done routinely during each year. Please let teachers know if you require your child to be looked at.
Parents and school will be notified of any defects and specialist appointments recommended.
•    Health Camp- Referrals via school for anger management and general health and welfare needs of children.
•    Police (Education Officer)- Based at Thames and trained to work with children in a range of areas ie - Road Safety, Personal Safety, Substance Abuse etc.
•    Public Health Nurse-Chrissie Baird - 866 5280 – Liaises closely with school and is available to work with families. Measles, mumps, rubella vaccinations are given to Y7 pupils for consenting families.
•    Resource Teacher Learning & Behaviour- (RTLB) Based at MBAS and available to work with children with moderate learning or behavioural needs.  Pupils referred by teachers.
•    Special Education Service-s (MOE -SE) Provides services to schools for speech therapy, severe learning needs, severe behavioural needs.  Referrals through the school.
