Please do not interrupt class teachers but leave messages or items at the office.

Visitors to school at other times should let the duty teacher or office know that they are present.

VISITING CHILDREN

Children who are not enrolled at Whenuakite School need to be accompanied by adults.

This protects both the BOT and children if an accident / incident occurs and legal action follows.

Requests for visiting children to attend classes with friends for part days or several days are almost always refused.  This is viewed as a child minding activity which is clearly parents’ responsibility.  Teachers are contracted to work professionally with children legally enrolled at school.

Sometimes, usually when children are known to the school and emergency / crisis circumstances are affecting a family, the principal may allow non-enrolled pupils to be at school, with parental consent.
